Happy Humans Making It Work

We help animals recover from illness, injury, or trauma so that they can lead happy and healthy lives. Your donation will help us provide medical care, specialty food, and rehabilitate animals in need.
We provide a loving home for our animals, and we offer adoption services to loving families who want to adopt a pet. We’re expanding our foster network and building a geriatric dog residence to provide long-term care.
Where animals find a forever home
Welcome to a place where animals find love, care, and compassion. We are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals that have been neglected, abused, or abandoned, and providing them with a safe haven where they can thrive.
As a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit organization we rely entirely on donations from animal lovers around the world to pay for things like Vet visits, medications, food, beds, crates, leashes, grooming, monthly heart-worm testing, flea/tick meds and other expenses related to caring for pets.
The majority of our animals come to us through owner surrenders, often due to relocating, divorce or financial circumstances. Additionally, in the unfortunate event of a natural disaster such as a hurricane, we often receive animals without any background information. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure these animals receive the care, love, and attention they deserve during their time with us.
At Purple Passion Animal Sanctuary, we are deeply committed to ensuring the well-being of every animal under our care. Once in our care, we diligently work to provide them with the highest standard of care. Many of the animals that come into our sanctuary are surrendered by their owners, allowing us to have access to their comprehensive medical history. However, there are instances when animals are simply dropped off at our sanctuary, such as those found without a microchip or lost pets during natural disasters. In such cases, we rely on the invaluable expertise and guidance of our trusted veterinarians.
When available, we will gladly provide you with any existing medical records from the previous owner, allowing you to have a complete understanding of your pet’s health background.
When an animal is brought into our sanctuary, we make every effort to assess their housebreaking status. Our dedicated team, along with our foster homes, have implemented a system to assist in this process. With the presence of doggy doors, other resident pets serve as helpful role models, showcasing the desired behavior for newly adopted pets. This environment facilitates a quick learning curve, enabling pets without prior knowledge to quickly grasp how to use the doggy doors.
